Top 100 Companies to Find Remote Jobs in 2024
Some people thought that remote work was going to be a quick fix solution to cope with the curve ball that the pandemic threw at businesses. Fast forward three years and not only are remote jobs still around, but the demand for remote workers is also expanding in top companies across the globe.
To bridge the gap between the supply and demand, placement companies specializing in sourcing remote workers have sprung up. One such leading company is FlexJobs, a membership service that for over a decade has helped jobseekers find quality .
From 2021 to 2022, FlexJobs saw a 20% increase in the number of remote job listings on their site, compared with just 12% the previous year. They found that most remote job listings were for roles (62%), positions, talent (32%), and finally opportunities (6%).
Of this sizeable increase in the supply of remote jobs, and now an increasing demand of employees to land their dream remote jobs across global companies, Kathy Gardner, the Vice President of communications at FlexJobs says, 鈥淲e're not seeing one industry dominate the remote job market like we used to. Three years ago, your best bet to land a remote job was to apply to tech companies, but now, there's a much healthier mix of industries offering flexible opportunities.鈥
It鈥檚 not hard to see why there are so many jobs going remote as many progressive companies have discovered that their workers don鈥檛 need to be under their bosses noses all the time. They now know employees can be trusted to do the job at hand outside of the four walls of the office, plus, these progressive organizations have found that top quality workers that may have been put off joining their ranks because of hectic commutes or geographic barriers are finding that remote working jobs are helping them widen their talent pool of qualified candidates.
As with anything in business, there are leaders and laggards, and Gardner went on to say that several major progressive companies such as CVS Health, Elevance Health, Kelly, Parexel, SAP, Stride and UnitedHealth Group have consistently made the top 100 since the ranking were first published in 2014.

Basically, a win-win for all as research has found that happy workers are more productive, which translates to a healthier bottom line.
Remote work is no longer just a passing fad
According to Forbes, remote work is here to stay and will in fact increase into 2024 despite a band of micromanagers who are making it known that they want their workers back in the office.
Data scientists at Ladders insist that remote working is here to stay. With this rise in remote work, their data projects that 25% of all professional jobs in North America will be remote by the end of 2022, and remote opportunities will continue to increase throughout 2024.
With remote work shifting from a pandemic-era policy to a permanent business solution throughout 2024, this year鈥檚 top reflect the wide-scale adoption of remote work across various industries.
Of the top career fields above, a few experienced significant growth in 2022. These include accounting & finance (31%), HR & recruiting (22%), and marketing (20%). Modest growth was also seen among computer & IT, project management, and medical & health.
Other categories, although not in the top remote career fields list, also experienced significant growth between 2021 and 2022, seeing a rise in remote job listings. These include (55%), (39%), and (33%).
Of course, those are the top career categories that have been identified by FlexJobs, but within these categories there are a plethora of remote jobs to choose from and many others are still being created. It really is a candidate's market right now as in a State of Remote Work Report from Owl Labs, it was found that 90% of the 2,050 full time report workers surveyed in 2021 said they were as productive or more productive working remotely as compared to being strapped to a desk in the office.
And if you are wondering what job seekers were looking for in 2022, the following job titles saw the most search traffic.
Admittedly that鈥檚 a wide variety of jobs to choose from, and there are many companies that are recruiting for these positions.
Of this rapid transition to remote working jobs, Ladders CEO, Marc Cenedella says:
鈥淭his change in working arrangements is impossible to overhype. As big as it is, it is even bigger than people think. It鈥檚 the largest societal change in America since the end of World War II. Hiring practices typically move at a glacial pace, but the pandemic turned up the heat so we鈥檙e seeing a rapid flood of change in this space. It鈥檚 really rather amazing.鈥
Those employers who have not woken up to the remote working revolution, or are digging their heels in resisting change, need to wake up fast. In a Forbes article, Ragu Bhargava, CEO at Global Upside, agreed with the latest research that employees will continue to resign in record numbers if companies don't evolve with the needs of their employees. Ragu suggested that those who still view remote work as temporary or unorthodox 鈥 instead of a complete transformation in how we work and continue the 鈥渙ld way of doing things鈥 鈥 risk losing staff and will no longer be competitive as the workplace evolves around them.
Ragu cites the staggering statistic that 4.5 million employees voluntarily quit their jobs in November 2021 as evidence that the American workforce alone is waking up to their collective bargaining power, and hard-nosed employers are getting left behind in the dust.
Progressive global companies are stepping up their remote working agenda
We have all heard the expression 鈥楢dapt or die鈥 and this could not ring any truer for companies that choose to ignore the remote working revolution. Of course, besides the big names such as Amazon, that are on the radar of those looking to work remotely, there are many other emerging and established companies that are posting remote jobs.
So, what are the best companies to work for from home?
Liveops earned the number one spot on this year鈥檚 list, being recognized for providing 鈥渦nparalleled鈥 job flexibility and work-life balance. Other big-name companies on the list include Amazon, American Red Cross, PNC, TTEC, Williams-Sonoma, and Working Solutions.
These top remote working companies are not just paying lip service to remote working, they are putting their money where their mouths are.
Amy Bouque, Chief People Officer at Kelly says:
鈥淜elly has offered work-from-home options for more than a decade, and we鈥檙e proud to be among this group of elite companies who are committed to providing flexible work arrangements. Remote and hybrid work enhances our ability to recruit top talent and contributes to a vibrant, productive workplace where unique work styles are supported.鈥
Of course, remote workers who found a job in one of these progressive companies had only good things to say about them.

Take Mercedes B., the Prevention & Wellness Coordinator at CVS Health who said:
鈥淚 moved to a rural area and was commuting 60 miles to my job, but I wanted to stay in the healthcare industry. I was able to find a job that is 100% remote so I can work from home. I can also visit family or friends in other cities and still be able to work while I鈥檓 there. This is my second time using FlexJobs, which gives lots of great tips. Tailoring my resume and cover letters using keywords from job descriptions was effective for me, and the webinars were very helpful.鈥
